Great Peconic Race

The Great Peconic Race is an advanced recreational and elite paddle race circumnavigating Shelter Island, NY. The full course is an estimated 19 miles long. Half course and relay options are also available. There is no rain date, alternate courses are in place should there be rough or foggy conditions. The preferred or standard race course starts and ends at the beach at Wades Beach. Chase boats and timing will finish after 7 hours. Sunday, September 20th, 2015 7am Registration – 8:30am Start Registration includes, T-shirt (first come, first serve), pre & post-race food, BBQ and Party.

Annual William Waltz Cedar Beach Clean Up

Annual William Waltz Cedar Beach Clean Up

Please join Mt. Sinai Harbor Advisory Committee and Peconic Baykeeper for a beach clean up at Cedar Beach, located on the Long Island Sound. Soon enough it will be providing plenty of fun in the sun, but it the meantime, the shorelines have collected plenty of debris. We need volunteers! You will be provided with all necessary tools. Saturday, April 18, 2015, 9am- 3pm. Kick off at Mt. Sinai Yacht Club (244 Harbor Beach Road, Mt. Sinai, NY 11766). Breakfast & lunch provided. Free re-useable water bottles-first come first serve basis. Educational session with Baykeeper, Brady Wilkins.

Objectives
    The mission of the East Quogue Civic Association is to foster our wonderfully diverse community and maintain the quality of life in Beautiful East Quogue.

    Our Objectives:
  • Encourage public participation and awareness within the community.
  • Encourage and implement neighborhood improvements and beautification projects.
  • Help preserve and maintain our parks and open spaces with the support of the community and government.
  • Encourage residents to buy locally - Put your dollars back where you live, work and play.
  • Encourage new business in our area.
  • Partner with other organizations to achieve these objectives.
  • East Quogue Civic Association Support the East Quogue Civic Association by joining our membership or through donation. Proceeds go directly back into the community and help provide community events like the Summer Concert Series.
  • East Quogue Fire District monthly meeting is 1st Thursday of every month at the firehouse public is invited to attend.
